1. Registry for Submission of Financial Statements

5. Deadline for Submission of Financial Statements

  • Private Limited Company (प्राइवेट लिमिटेड कंपनी): 30 days from the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which must be held within six months from the end of the financial year.
  • Public Limited Company (पब्लिक लिमिटेड कंपनी): Same as Private Limited Companies.
  • One Person Company (वन पर्सन कंपनी): 180 days from the end of the financial year.

6. Partial Financial Statements

Certain companies, such as Small Companies (छोटी कंपनियाँ) and One Person Companies (वन पर्सन कंपनी), may submit simplified financial statements under the Companies Act, 2013. These simplified statements are less comprehensive but still fulfill the statutory requirements.

7. Consequences of Not Submitting Financial Statements on Time

8. Requirements for Foreign-Owned Branches and Newly Established Companies

Foreign-owned branches operating in India are required to submit financial statements just like Indian companies. They must adhere to the same deadlines and audit requirements.

Newly established companies must submit their first financial statements within 18 months from the date of incorporation or within 9 months from the end of the financial year, whichever is earlier.
