FAQ – Credit Report in Uzbekistan
Can foreign users access the official business register in Uzbekistan?
No. The official Uzbek business register is available only to local individuals and legal entities with a national ID card. However, our company has a local presence in Uzbekistan, which allows us to access the registry and collect data for our clients.
How does company search in Uzbekistan work?
The official register allows searching only by registration code (OKPO). Many customers do not have this code. Our own system enables company searches by registration code, taxpayer code, and legal name. Our online database contains over 1 000 000 legal entities.
How often is the Uzbek company database updated?
Due to technical restrictions, the official database is updated no more than once per year, and there is no way to track newly created companies. Therefore, our database is refreshed individually for each entity every few years. For Credit Reports, however, we collect information on each legal entity in real time.
Is financial data publicly available for Uzbek companies?
Yes, but only partially. Financial statements are publicly available for joint-stock companies listed on the stock exchange (about 600 companies). For limited liability companies (LLCs), financial data is closed to the public. Instead, we estimate turnover and profit using tax payment data and conduct alternative checks.
What alternative checks are available for LLCs in Uzbekistan?
Even without public financials, we can:
- Verify negative information (bankruptcy, liquidation, litigation, tax debts)
- Estimate annual turnover and profit based on tax payment data
- Check ownership, licenses, real estate, tenders, and business relations
What sources are used for preparing a Full Credit Report in Uzbekistan?
We collect data from multiple official and internal sources, including:
- Single portal for interactive government services (registration data, shareholders, directors, auditors, employees, pledges, bank accounts, sustainability rating from Tax department)
- Cadastral Agency (real estate ownership)
- Ministry of Justice (licenses)
- Ministry of Economy and Finance (tenders)
- Republican Stock Exchange «Toshkent» (joint-stock companies)
- Agency for Technical Regulation (foreign trade data)
